Who can become an affiliate?
Any Cineon Pro member. Upgrade to Pro, then open Settings → Affiliate to claim your code and connect payouts. There's no separate application or approval step.
How and when do I get paid?
Commissions are transferred automatically to your connected Stripe account as your referrals' payments clear — there's no manual payout request and no minimum threshold to hit first.
How is a referral tracked?
Your referral code is bound to the account at signup, not to a short-lived browser cookie. Anyone who creates their Cineon account with your code or link stays attributed to you — even if they upgrade later.
What counts as a conversion?
Any paid plan — monthly, yearly, or lifetime — purchased by a user who signed up with your referral code. Subscription commissions apply for a 12-month window from the first payment; lifetime plans pay a one-time commission.
How does the 12-month window work?
The commission window runs for 12 months from a referral's first payment. On the monthly plan that's up to 12 payments, each paying you 20%. On the yearly plan only one payment falls inside the window, so you earn 20% of that single annual charge.
What happens with refunds or chargebacks?
Commissions follow the underlying payment. If a referred customer is refunded or charges back, the corresponding commission is reversed. Everything else you've earned stays yours.
Is there a cost to join?
No. The only requirement is an active Cineon Pro account, which you'd have as a user anyway. Stripe Connect is free to set up.
